Perfect Hooves
Hooves are the horse's foundation, carrying it for a lifetime. Cracks, grooves, poor consistency and faulty growth indicate a lack of specific nutrients that needs to be balanced with an adapted feeding regime.
Better Horn Growth
Hoof horn mainly consists of keratin, a scleroprotein, which in turn has a characteristic amino acid pattern. A lack of the amino acids methionine, cysteine, lysine, proline and glycine is balanced by Ungulat either directly or by means of natural protein sources such as brewer's yeast, oilseeds, chlorella algae and herbs.
Improvement of the Hoof Quality
Mineral substances such as zinc, manganese, copper, iron, organic sulphur compounds, silicon and calcium are important structural components strengthening the hoof horn. In Ungulat, these nutrients are available in optimised proportions and, to guarantee bioavailability, in natural bindings. In addition, cold-pressed linseed oil supplies unsaturated vegetable fatty acids. They are important for the flexibility and elasticity of the hoof horn.
Better Intake of Nutrients
Ungulat provides cereal germs rich in enzymes, garlic, brewer's yeast, linseed, millet, chamomile, vitamin A and the trace element cobalt for the promotion and protection of the digestive tract and thus the improvement of the body's own production of biotin.
Transport of Substances into the Hoof
Only a hoof corium well supplied with blood can safeguard the transport of substances into the hoof complex. Ungulat contains garlic, unstaurated fatty acids, grape seed extract and other factors to protect the vessels. These nutrients help maintain the fluidity of the blood and contribute to protecting the small blood vessels right to the corium.
St. Hippolyt Ungulat Study
A study of mares with very poor hoof quality showed that the hoof horn had improved considerably after feeding Ungulat for six months.
