Supplement Specialists turned Film Makers
Nothing says welcome to the team like hanging out of your new bosses sun-roof, while her husband drives round a field!
Okay that sounds a little bit dramatic but the point is we filmed our own video for the homepage and part of this was holding the camera steady as we drove alongside the horses to get the right shots! So much more than just riding and filming went into making our video. You might have noticed some changes to our website recently, with one of the main additions being the new video has now been released on our homepage!
If you haven't watched the full version yet I highly recommend you do! I will even embed it in this blog for your viewing pleasure!
No two days at Supplement Solutions are the same, actually it's pretty crazy around here, (I mean this in a good way!) and what you may not know is that the whole team try to go the extra mile in all aspects of what we do. That's why we planned, filmed and edited our homepage video ourselves in house! We don't do things in halves!

The homepage was set for a re-skin, this is pretty much a face-lift to improve functionality for the end user - that's you! A lot of work was done by the previous marketing employee before I started and I picked up where she had left off to continue the process of improving the website. We were at the stage where we needed to plan and film content for the homepage video.
Why a video?
Videos are great, they're immersive and allow us to quickly tell the story of what we do! Our video tells the story of a customer who is running low on their supplement, they quickly and easily order on Supplement Solutions website via their mobile device then head out for a ride with their friends. Later in the video a delivery driver drops off their order, which they open, unbox their supplement and feed their horse. When you order from Supplement Solutions, while you're out enjoying your horses, we will process, package and dispatch your order so it is quickly delivered to your door!

We had our plan written out on paper and a vision in mind, so we set a date and it was time to film! Taking a day out of the office took a lot of planning, Sophie & Sophie (yes two!) stayed at HQ to hold the fort taking and packing orders. Myself, Hannah & Lauren headed out to Hannah's yard where we met up with local customer Alice, her mum Jayne and Henry, Hannah's husband! Hannah's two young sons Will & Sam also joined us to chip in and help.
We worked our way through the shot list, ticking off each scene as we went - so organised as to not forget any of the plan!
This isn't to say things all went to plan, we had our fair share of technical and equine related issues on the day! From the drone malfunctioning to the horses wanting to race in what we had written down as a "relaxed canter" scene, we faced these challenges head on!
Is that you in the video?
I was the one behind the camera filming but you can see our founder Hannah Wild and manager Lauren riding their horses, along side them is one of our local customers Alice. See if you can spot Henry in the video too! We wanted to make a video which allowed you to see who you are talking to on the other end of the phone, genuine horse lovers with a passion for what we do!
I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed making it for you, leave us a comment and I'll be back in the next Team Updates blog!
