Meadowsweet has a number of benefits for horses and dogs where it is used to help support and maintain pH balance in the digestive system and support optimum mobility. We suggest using between 20 - 30 grams of Meadowsweet daily for a horse, ideally splitting the daily amount between two feeds. For full details on feeding please see the How do I use it tab. We use Meadowsweet in many of our proprietary mixes, including our MultiFlex, MultiFlex Gold, Releaf Gold, GastriX, Senior Horse and Senior Horse Gold for horses and in our Mobility Support for dogs.

This is due to the consistency of straight herbs eg roots are more dense than leaves or flowers, and they can be given to a variety of species. For further research on using straight herbs for animals there are some good books available including Hilary Self's "A Modern Horse Herbal". |
