Glucosamine is produced naturally by the horse and necessary for the production of healthy tissue and cartilage. Glucosamine also plays an important role in making amino acids and proteins that are the building blocks of many parts of joints, ligaments, cartilage, tendons and synovial fluid. There have also been some tests to show that Glucosamine can help delay the breakdown of cartilage as well as rebuild it.
Chondroitin helps support production and reduce the breakdown of cartilage. It has also been proven to improve joint comfort in older horses.
