Sand-Free™ is used to manage sand burdens in the digestive tract of equines. Ideal for horses that graze on or near to sandy areas, especially those with very short grass. Feed periodically, as directed.
Psyllium has been used traditionally in humans, and is a recognised management option for horses with sand burdens. Containing a soluble fibre source, Sand-Free™ forms a gel-like substance when exposed to water. The water absorbing properties means it acts as a hydroscopic sponge, allowing it to pick up and aid the removal of unwanted foreign material (such as sand and indigestible roughage) from the folds and bends of the digestive tract.
