Eqvalan is an ivermectin-based wormer capable of treating multiple-species infestations, including roundworms, lungworms and bots in horses, ponies and donkeys. This product should be used in early and late summer, alongside Eqvalan Duo in spring and autumn, for year-round parasite control. One syringe is sufficient to treat a horse up to 600kg. What does Eqvalan treat?
Eqvalan paste, at the recommended dose rate, provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites of horses and donkeys:- Large strongyles

When should Eqvalan be used?

| Instructions for use | Eqvalan oral paste for horses is given by mouth at the recommended dose rate. Each syringe division delivers sufficient paste to treat 100kg of bodyweight. The syringe delivers sufficient paste to treat 600kg bodyweight at the recommended dose rate. The horse’s weight should be accurately determined to ensure use of the correct dose of product. Use of a scale or weigh tape is recommended to ensure accurate dosing. Before administration adjust the syringe to the calculated dosage by setting the ring on the plunger. The animal’s mouth must be free of food. The syringe should be placed between the front and back teeth and the paste deposited at the base of the tongue. Immediately elevate the head for a few seconds to ensure that the product is swallowed. Treatment is recommended twice a year, in the summer months. Use alongside Eqvalan Duo in spring and autumn to provide all year round protection from intestinal parasites. |
